How it works

From request to delivery.

  1. 01Tell us what you haveWaste type, an estimated volume, your position and when you want it collected.
  2. 02Get a written quoteWe price the collection and send it to your portal. Nothing is booked until you accept.
  3. 03We collect alongsideA short pre-transfer talk, then the transfer from your connection to our truck or vessel.
  4. 04Record and fileWe sign a waste delivery receipt. Make the Oil Record Book entry and keep the receipt with it.

Paperwork

Paperwork for your Oil Record Book.

Every collection comes with a signed waste delivery receipt. IMO guidance says to keep it with the Oil Record Book Part I: it can help show the waste went ashore, not overboard. The IMO receipt form holds:

The connection

Know your flange before we arrive.

Ships of 400 GT and above carry the MARPOL standard discharge connection for sludge and bilge lines. Smaller yachts may not: tell us what yours is when you request.

What do you collect?

Every waste type, including waste oil, sludge, oily bilge water and sewage (brown water). Tell us what you have and roughly how much when you request, and we quote the collection.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes. Every collection comes with a signed waste delivery receipt. Keep it with your Oil Record Book.

Can you collect at anchor?

Yes. We collect alongside, at the quay or at anchor. Tell us your position when you request.

Is the Caribbean a special area for oil?

No. The Wider Caribbean is a MARPOL special area for garbage (Annex V) only. For oil (Annex I) the normal rules apply: oily mixtures may only be discharged en route through approved equipment at 15 ppm or less. Everything else is kept on board for a reception facility, such as our collection.

What goes in which record book?

Sludge and oily bilge water go in the Oil Record Book Part I. Oily rags and used filters are garbage and go in the Garbage Record Book.
